The first item for our new house is....

A lovely new KitchenAid 5 Qt Artisan mixer - in beautiful Green Apple.  I've always wanted one.  But the question is: Can I use it before it takes it's place in the new house?  Feel free to vote in on this one.

Size does matter!

Can a closet every really be too big?  The only correct answer to that is "Hell no!".  It was not for selfish reasons that the size of the master closet was just increased.  The living room was looking a little scrunched (now say that word like Meg Ryan did in the movie French Kiss).  So we needed to expanded the over all footprint out a bit - and low and behold, the closet was a beneficiary of that.

The percentage of Jennifer's space vs. Jim's space has not yet been negotiated.  Suffice to say that he and his belongings will have more than enough room.  Maybe.

So, the current measurements of the closet are 20X9.  The custom shelving and storage will come out about 14" all the way around.  And there may be an island of sorts in the middle - for ties and stuff.  

(Yes, we're still keeping the house under 2,800 sq ft.)
